President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom has met the Chinese delegation in Maldives for the Minivan 50 celebrations.
In the meeting held today in President’s Office, President Yameen met China’s Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress Shen Yueyue. Chinese Ambassador Wang Fukang took part in the meeting.
China has been a key ally of the nation, with the relations further developing under the tenure of President Yameen.
Chinese President Xi Jingping had extended the greetings and best wishes of the day to President Yameen. In the message President Xi expressed his interest in extending the bilateral relations with Maldives.
