Commissioner of Police, Hussein Waheed has said that CCTV cameras will be soon installed in different areas of Hulhumale’.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Commissioner of Police said that the Maldives Police Service is now working with Hulhumale’ Development Corporation to install CCTV cameras in Hulhumale’.
In this regard, he said that discussions were held recently with HDC regarding this project.
“Police are working to install CCTV cameras in different parts of Hulhumale’. We have discussed the issue with HDC in a recent meeting,” he said.
Commissioner of Police, Hussein Waheed did not disclose a date when the project will be completed.
While many suspect that Minivannews journalist Ahmed Rilwan went missing in Hulhumale’, his brother stated that they had checked CCTV cameras installed in private businesses and shops in Hulhumale’. He said that none of the cameras work properly.
