Discussions held with Bangkok Hospital to reform health sector
Ministry of Health has revealed that the Acting Minister of Health, Colonel (retired) Mohamed Nazim has held discussions with the Bangkok Hospital during his visit to Thailand.

In this regard, a meeting was held with the management and directors of Bangkok Hospital on 22nd of this month.

Discussions were on seeking more specialist doctors, seeking the necessary equipments for IGMH and Senahiya Hospital, establishing a system to get good supplies of medication for patients and other similar issues to reform the health sector of Maldives.

The Ministry of Health further said that discussions were also held regarding the establishment of Aasandha services to Maldivians from the Bangkok Hospital.

In addition to this, the Ministry stated that a memorandum of understanding will be signed between IGMH and Bangkok Hospital to improve the telemedicine services provided in IGMH and establish an easy and efficient health care system.

The ministry stated that the visit of the minister Nazim to Thaland has been very successful and new specialist doctors will be arriving from Thaland soon.
