Jumhooree Party Deputy Leader and Dhangethi Constituency MP Ilham Ahmed has called on Vice President Ahmed Adeeb for a resolution as this is the start of a new chapter in Maldivian politics.
He made the statement speaking in the debate session of the approval of Ahmed Adeeb as Vice President.
Ilham said that he hoped that VP Adeeb will find a solution for the economic and political issues facing the nation. He also called on the Government to revise their principles and policies, citing once again that this was a new phase for Maldivian democracy. He added that this was vital for societal harmony and a strong investor portfolio.
Ilham added that this was part of the aspirations of the public, who had elected the present Government to power. He noted that many members of PPM would agree that Party Leader Qasim had worked hard to bring this Government to power.
Ilham stated that there was a period of flux in the first year of the Government, which is slowly resolving. He noted that multi party collaboration was vital for the peace of the nation.
