Chefs Guild of Maldives has been inaugurated.
The Chefs Guild of Maldives (CGM) was inaugurated by the founder of the Chefs Guild of Maldives, who has played an important role for years in the hospitality industry, Mariyam Nooraddeen.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of this year’s Hotel Asia Exhibition and Culinary Challenge, Nooraddeen said that the Chefs Guild of Maldives will benefit all Maldivian chefs and even those working abroad can participate in it.
“Under CGM, Maldivian Chefs will get the opportunity to participate in international events and exhibitions. This will be a milestone for Maldivian Chefs.
She said that the association will forge new links of friendship and further strengthening the existing bonds of friendship among fellow chefs.
Nooraddeen also said that this will also garner interest of more people into the culinary field and open more training opportunities.
She called all Chefs of Maldives to join the CGM and said that CGM will soon become a member of the World Association of Chefs Societies.
President of World Association of Chefs Societies Chef Gissur Gudmunsson also spoke during the event said that that the Association will assist CGM and next October CGM will be accepted as an affiliated member of the association.
