Anara calls to consider faraway islands such as Makunudhoo
Makunudhoo constituency MP, Anara Naeem has called to consider faraway islands such as Makunudhoo when making amendments to the Health Bill.

Anara made this remark during the debate on the Bill which was tabled on behalf of the Government by Hon. Hussain Mohamed Latheef, MP for Fares-Maathoda.

Anara said that Makunudhoo island is faraway from other islands and therefore many sad incidents occur because of the lack of proper health services in the island including fatal incidents.

“In this regard, in the second article’s (a) the bill speaks of establishing a national system. I believe that this system should be established in Male’ and other islands too. My constituency, Makunudhoo is an island faraway from the other islands and therefore because of the lack of proper health facilities many sad incidents occur,” she said.

Anara said that the island is in need of better health facilities. She said that it is very important to consider islands further away from other islands in the atolls when amending such bills.
