Additionally, Ibu said that another one of the stipulations was that those facing political charges or investigations on political charges be granted some leniency. Also, MDP had stipulated that the Government remove the bottlenecks facing businesses, especially Jumhooree Party (JP) Leader Qasim Ibrahim.

MDP had additionally stipulated that an independent investigation has to be carried out on the murder of Dr. Afrasheem Ali, disappearance of journalist Rilwan and the threatening messages sent to journalists and politicians.

Ibu said that around 400 are being investigated in connection to political activities. Additionally, MDP said that they would once again be filing the cases of Colonel (Rtd) Mohamed Nazim, former MP Ahmed Nazim, Thal’hath Ibrahim and former President Mohamed Nasheed.
