The State has submitted the National Integrity Commission Bill to the Parliament, yesterday.
President’s Office stated that the purpose of this Bill was to ensure that enforcement agencies were run under a proper system, with proper accountability and proper legal and administrative procedures.
Additionally, the Commissions which have a similar mandates will be restructured, with the new Commissions rules and regulations on their day to day affairs, legal limits, guides on criteria for Commission Members and other regulations will be set as well.
