Senior member of Adhaalath Party (AP) Shidhaathaa Shareef has stated that political leaders are in detention or exile and that this was a grave injustice.
In a ceremony held Saturday night by the opposition Shidhaahtaa stated that this was the pinnacle of sacrifice for them.
She said that the success of the Government is also dependent on them collaborating with the opposition instead of arresting the opposition.
Shidhaathaa stated that the opposition was voicing their dissent was to ensure that this injustice did not extend to everyone.
She added that former Defense Minister Colonel (Rtd) Mohamed Nazim had also spoken that there was “no safety for every Maldivian” and that the situation was the same, even today.
She added that watching all politicians jailed was an injury to oneself as well. She also added that the Party’s President Sheikh Imran was detained with no trials or investigations and that it was a bias.
