A temporary mosque has been opened in Hulhumale’ near the China flats.
The mosque was built by the proceeds from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
The mosque was opened Thursday evening for Asr prayers by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Ziyd and Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizz. Dr. Ziyad gave a lecture in the mosque after the Asr prayers.
It also has to be noted that Fandiyaaru mosque has also been re-opened following renovation of the mosque. The mosque was opened by Islamic Ministry’s Mushrif Musaid, Sheikh Hassan Thaufeeq Abdu Rahman.
