Islamic Foundation of the Maldives has stated that they have brought in 30 hafez to lead Tharaaveeh prayers in Male’ and in the islands.
The Foundation reported that only three hafez will be staying in Male’ and the rest will be dispatched to the islands. The Foundation stated that they had given priority to those islands who had requested for hafez. They noted the assistance given to the Foundation extended by the Councils for the accommodation for the hafez.
The Foundation also reported that the hafez were brought from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The hafez will lead the prayers and will complete the entire Holy Quran in this Ramadan.
This is the fourth time the Foundation had brought in hafez to lead Tharaaveeh prayers. The Foundation has been instrumental in delivering powerful lectures as well.
