Ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Vice President Abdu Raheem Abdullh has stated that the numbers observed in Friday’s anti-Government rally was an indication that the support of the population was with the Government.
Abdu Raheem, who is also the sitting MP for Fonadhoo Constituency, made this statement via a tweet posted on his twitter page. His tweet highlighted that the numbers were also an indication of the failure of the opposition.
Abdu Raheem noted that the public only wanted prosperity and stability and that President Yameen was working tirelessly to assure that this was actualized.
He stated that opposition was trying to halt this vision for the nation and added that this Government was a benevolent Government.
