The Government has passed to shift the classes of Maldives National University (MNU) from old Jamaluddin school premises to former Mandhu College premises temporarily starting next Sunday.
MNU had been ordered to vacate the old Jamaluddin School premises by the 14th of this month on last February.
President’s Office Spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali has stated that the University had not begun to clear Jamaluddin School premises even with the deadline fast approaching. Muaz stated that the deadline cannot be extended.
The MES school building is being given to MNU at a time where the previous occupants, Mandhu College was evicted and the building put under a lock-down.
