Speaker of the Peoples’ Majlis Abdulla Maseeh has said that the chair of the Peoples’ Majlis will be run as per the laws and regulations of the Majlis and the constitution.
The Speaker stated that the Special Economic Zone Bill was reviewed by the review committee as per the committee regulations.
Speaking at yesterday’s sitting of the Majlis, Meedhoo constituency MP Rozaina Adam said that the Speaker is acting unjustly and is giving the PPM Parliamentary Group members to take points of orders and is not giving the same opportunity to members of other parties.
The Twenty Fourth Sitting of the Second Session was adjourned at 1330hrs, following disruptions to the Sitting. According to Speaker Maseeh, deliberations with political leaders were being carried out to resolve the issue.
