CP calls to respect human rights, not to damage property in disbursing protests
Commissioner of Police Hussain Waheed has called on all Police officers to act in a manner that does not denigrate human rights and not to damage property in the event peaceful protests turn violent and have to be disbursed.

He made the statement speaking to the recruits of the ongoing Public Order Training course.

CP Hussain Waheed said that disbursing protests were easy. However, he called on all recruits to follow set procedures and act in a manner that would earn respect and trust of the public.

He added that the Public Order Training course conducted by ISLES was of international standards and that graduates of this course would have full capability to control protests and gatherings.

Hussain Waheednoted that in this batch senior officers of the Police took part in the course and highlighted that it was vital that officers and commanders from different ranks be thorough with the said procedures. He added that all Police officers would have to be trained in Public Order courses.
