Teachers’ Association (TA) has stated that the ministry of education has been giving a deaf ear to their pleas.
President of the association, Abdul Hakeem said that the authorities should rectify the education sector without a people having to tell them and force them to it. He said that if the education sector is neglected then even the parents raise questions and concern.
“Therefore even the parents have the right to know what is really going on,” he said.
He said that there is a lot to be amended in the education sector however the ministry has failed to take any action in this regard. “They do not listen to our pleas and requests,” he said.
Athif said that 60 percent of schools lack capable principals and some of the subject teachers do not reach the standard.
He appealed the authorities to review and assess the foreign teachers well before employing them in the schools.
