Four members appointed to represent JP during discussions with govt
Jumhooree Party has appointed a four member team to represent the party during the discussions with the government.

The four members are Jumhooree Party Deputy Leaders Ameen Ibrahim, Ilham Ahmed, Parliamentary Group Leader Kinbidhoo constituency member Abdulla Riyaz and Parliamentary Group member Mathiveri constituency MP Hussein Mohamed.

In a letter sent to the President’s Office, Jumhooree Party welcomed the three proposed deliberations noted by the government.

Government proposed the following ‎towards deliberation at the conference;‎ first is to seek solutions within the perimeters of the Maldivian legal system to ‎resolve existing political tensions and differences of opinion towards ‎establishing political reconciliation, and to explore avenues to strengthen ‎national solidarity; ‎second is to determine measures needed to further improve the constitutional, ‎legislative and judicial models within the country, for the purpose of ‎strengthening the Maldivian democratic system based on our own past ‎experiences and international best practices;‎ and the third is to encourage the cooperation of all political actors within the country ‎towards the nation building process, and in securing the social and economic ‎development of all Maldivian citizens.

Jumhooree Party Deputy Leader Ameen Ibrahim said that all three parties will be responding to the invitations individually as the invitation was sent individually to each party.
