Jumhooree Party’s Deputy Leader Ameen Ibrahim has said that the government arrested opposition leaders when the opposition called for dialogue.
Ameen noted that the President failed to respond to the calls to dialogue by the opposition but MDP Chairperson Ali Waheed, Adhaalath Party President Sheikh Imran Abdulla, and Jumhooree Party Deputy Leader in less than five hours since they made they reiterated the calls for dialogue.
Ameen Ibrahim was recently released. He resigned from his post as the Executive Chairman of VMedia to devote all his time for the cause of ending tyranny.
Following his resignation he said in a tweet that “I believe I should devote every second to the cause now.”
