Govt terminates Koodoo Airport management, Hodedhoo Fishing complex, Baresdhoo agreement
Government has warned to terminate Koodoo Airport management from Villa Air and the fishing complex developed in Hodedhoo by Horizon Fisheries. The government has also revoked Bareshoo Island from Villa.

Villa Air Director, Ridwan Shareef said that the notice received by Villa Air states that the company opposed two articles of the agreement. He said that this is a misinformation on the part of the government.

Ridwan said that the airport’s tower system, firefighting safety system and the toilet system have been repaired.

He said that the Villa Air was given a period of ten years to develop and manage the Airport and Villa Air has been developing the airport as per the agreement. He said that he is certain that the minister of the ministry have been misinformed of the situation.

Ridwan said that this matter will be discussed with the ministry and he expressed hope that the ministry will take back the notice once they receive the correct information.

In addition to this, the ministry of fisheries sent a notice to Horizon Fisheries warning them of the termination of the fisheries complex the company has been developing in Hodedhoo.

The notice stated that Horizon Fisheries has been acting against the agreement signed and if they do not comply to the agreement within thirty days then the agreement will be terminated.

According to Horizon Fisheries stated that this accusation is not correct.
