Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has called the public to give more support to the Maldives Islamic Bank.
Dr. Shaheem made this remark speaking at the ceremony held to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Maldives Islamic Bank to build the ten story building for Center for Holy Quran.
The Islamic Minister said that the former governments tried to seek assistance for the project however they did not succeed because of the size of the project.
He thanked the Maldives Islamic Bank for deciding to give assistance to the government to build the Center for Holy Quran.
Dr. Shaheem said that the Maldives Islamic Bank have also provided assistance to the revival of the nights of Ramadan program organized by the Ministry and also to the opening of the Islamic university in the Maldives.
The Minister said that the Maldives Islamic Bank are assisting in these projects for the people of Maldives and he requested the public to accept it and thank the bank.
“I request all the beloved people of Maldives to have a close relationship with the Maldives Islamic Bank. I appeal all of you to move forward with the Maldives Islamic Bank,” he said.
