Former Islamic Affairs Minister, Dr. Abdul Majeed Abdul Bari has said that tyranny and oppression will not last forever but will eventually come an end and tyrants will punished.
Dr. Abdul Majeed made this remark speaking at the “Maldivians against tyranny” rally held on Saturday night at the Artificial Beach area.
He said that Allah has mentioned in numerous verses of the Quran that He will punish the oppressors.
“They might not suffer its punishment in this world. But they cannot flee away from punishment on the day of Judgement,” he said/
Dr. Abdul Majeed said that the people should supplicate to Allah to end the government tyranny and work to end it.
“We should increase in our supplications during the last part of the night,” he said.
He said that the oppressors should take heed as the supplication of the oppressed will be answered.
