Islamic conference to be held in Maldives
A joint Islamic conference in cooperation with Madina University and Ministry of Islamic Affairs is to be held in Maldives.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed said that the conference will be held as part of the program to enhance the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Maldives in fostering Islamic awareness in Maldives.

He said that the topic of the conference will be to provide information to the people regarding moderate Islam.

He said that the heads of the Madina university will be visiting Maldives soon. He said that discussions are being held to include the Imams of Majisudl Haram and Masjidul Nabawi.

Among the Maldivian scholars, the minister himself, former Chief Justice Mohamed Rasheed Ibrahim, Dr. Ziyad Baqir, Dr. Qubad and Human Rights Commission member Ahmed Abdul Kareem will be lecturing at the conference.
