Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party, Ameen Ibrahim has said that it is time for the people to repay their kindness to the Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim.
Ameen said that sincere kindness is not shown when the other asks for it but it is shown for oneself.
He said that kindness and compassion is a beautiful characteristic that Islam has taught us. He said that kindness should be shown to everyone but there are people that is given high priority. He said that there are times that one should rush to show kindness to others.
Ameen said that if someone financially helps in getting an education or medication or in removing an obstacle then he should be repaid with kindness. He said that it is a must to repay kindness with kindness.
He noted that Gasim Ibrahim is arguably the most inspirational leader in the country and his understanding and warmth towards the people of Maldives is possibly what has made him the prolific and the modest figure Maldivians love.
Ameen said that Gasim is the philanthropist who assisted most Maldivians. He is the only individual who provides most services to Maldivians.
He said that today Gasim is in need of the help and kindness of the people. He appealed all to come out in defence of Gasim to help him from the oppression of the government against him.
Ameen said that Gasim’s company, Villa Group have been paying all payments to the state and he was even awarded the golden coin by MIRA for this. However, today the state is demanding 90.4 million US dollars from him.
“His company is now on the verge of bankruptcy. He is facing many difficulties and oppression at the hands of the government,” he said.
He urged all well wishers of Gasim Ibrahim to participate in the Mayday mass protest to bring an end to the tyranny of the government of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
