The former Speaker of the Peoples’ Majlis, current Henveiru Uthuru constituency MP Abdulla Shahid has been again given a death threat.
Abdulla Shahid told Miadhu Daily, that this is the second time he was given such a threat. He said that this time also it is the same person who gave him the death threat earlier.
He said that this time also the sms was sent to his phone from an unlisted number. Shahid said that other members of the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) also received the same message.
“We will slash you if you keep on issuing these various press releases,” the message which was sent Shahid read.
Shahid said that Hulhumeedhoo MP Rozaina Adam, Maafannu Uthuru MP Imthiyaz Fahly and Galolhu Uthuru Eva Abdulla.
Roazaina told Miadhu Daily that the Speaker of the Peoples’ Majlis Abdulla Maseeh informed the Home Minister regarding the death threat received by her.
