Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party’s Parliamentary Group, Kinbidhoo constituency MP Abdulla Riyaz jas said that the government’s oppression against the biggest business venture company in the Malidves, Villa Group is politically motivated.
Kinbidhoo constituency MP Abdulla Riyaz made this remark in an interview to RajjeTV. He said that no one should be oppressed because of political influence.
He said that if the government oppressed the people and keeps on continuing oppressing then the people should stand against them.
Abdulla Riyaz said that such problems arise when there are people who are larger than the nation.
“This is tyranny. This is brutality. The people should not remain silent. The people should come out,” he said.
Riyaz said that President Yameen came to power with the joint effort of former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim.
He said that he had many hopes when he came to power but President Yameen turned out to be a big disappointment.
“Colonel Nazim was framed. The case against him is politically motivated. He is being oppressed because he has been garnering fame in politics,” he said.
