Ahmed Farish Maumoon, the PPM candidate for Dhiggaru constituency has departed to the constituency to commence his campaigns.
In a tweet, Farish said that he is departing to start his campaigns for the by-election to be held next Friday.
He said that he is competing for the seat to bring progress religiously and economically to the Maldives.
Farish is currently the state minister at the economic ministry. He is the son of former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and the nephew of President Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
