The legal team of former Defence Minister Colonel (retired) Mohamed Nazim has stated that the case report of his trial at the Criminal Court is missing many information.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, the legal team stated that the information regarding changing the case is also missing. “However it is a very important information,” he said.
He said that the judge at the time of the verdict referred to 17 issues however according to the report there were 25 issues.
“Therefore we are inspecting the report very carefully,” they said.
The legal team said that the case of missing information from the report will be filed at the Criminal Court after thoroughly going through the whole report.
Many are raising concern regarding the prison sentence issued by the Criminal Court on Nazim, Many believe that the trial was politically motivated to destroy his political career.
