STO Managing Director, Adam Azim has said the main aim of STO is to make the people self-sufficient.
Managing Director Adam Azim made this remark speaking at the ceremony held yesterday at Hulhumale’ to inaugurate the new pharmacy opened by STO.
He said that the pharmacy project of STO is aimed at making the people self-sufficient by providing medicine at hands reach for reasonable prices.
Adam Azim said that the opening of Fuel Station and a Supermart will provide goods at cheaper prices for the people of Hulhumale’.
“The current government wants to give economic freedom to the people. Without economic freedom the people cannot be free. Therefore STO is also working for this aim,” he said.
Furthermore, Adam Azim said that the pharmacy project of opening pharmacies in every inhabited island as requested by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom will be completed in the month of December of next year.
“We are full confident that the project will be completed on that date. The STO team is eager to serve the people and they are working hard to complete this project,” he said.
In addition to this he said that 500 pharmacists will be trained within a period 8 months and 1 year.
