Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party, Ameen Ibrahim has said that the Deputy Leader of PPM, Ahmed Adheeb has hinted in his speech that he is plotting new ways to oppress the leader of the Jumhooree Party, Gasim Ibrahim even more.
Ameen made this remark in the today’s rally held by the “Maldivians against Tyranny” movement.
He said that Gasim has been facing many difficulties when the government fined him with 100 million dollars without any due right while he is the one who has been investing the most in the Maldives.
“The government is suddenly demanding 100 million Dollar fee to destroy the investments of Gasim. However, Gasim is still steadfast upon his reform works regardless of these difficulties and intimidation by the government. This hurts them a lot. They could not hurt Gasim as they wanted. They could not intimidate him as they wanted,” he said.
Ameen said that Gasim’s has grown much stronger in his resolve. He said that the government wants to attack their opponents in their weakest points.
