President of the Adhaalath Party, Sheikh Imran Abdulla has said that a mass gathering will be held on May 1st and the participants will not return home until the government agrees to start “peace talks”.
Sheikh Imran made this remark speaking at the meeting held at Male’ City Council Hall by the “Maldivians against tyranny” movement.
Sheikh Imran said that they have held various activities to make the government listen to the pleas of the people. However, he said that up until now there has been no response from the government.
“We have come up with a different formula. We will work on it in a mass gathering that will be held on May 1st,” he said.
He requested the people to make it much bigger than the last mass gathering held by the people.
“The results of your continuous hard work will see its fruits,” he said.
