Adhaalath Party President Sheikh Imran Abdulla has called all not to accept expensive gifts bought from the money of the people.
Sheikh Imran made this remark reiterating the remarks of MP Ahmed Mahloof regarding a car worth of 80000 US dollar and a ring of 100000 US dollars given to First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim as a birthday gift by Tourism Minister Ahmed Adheeb.
Sheikh Imran said that it is impossible for a Minister to save this much money from his salary within one year of the government.
He said that anyone can embezzle money using the influence of ones authority withina short period of time. He said such people should know that death is near and they will be made accountable for their actions.
In addition to this, Sheikh Imran said that the sentence issued on President Yameen’s former close colleague, Dhiggaru MP Ahmed Nazim should be a lesson to al.
“Adheeb might face the same fate as Nazim,” he said. He said that Adheeb should give it a thought.
