MP Ahmed Mahloof has denied the allegations of Maldives Police Service that he attempted to escape after remand hearing on Friday night in which Criminal Court ruled that he be remanded to police custody for 15 days.
He said that he only tried to stop the Police from harassing and attacking his wife and family members.
Mahloof said that there is no reason for him to flee away while he got the opportunity to speak against the Court rulings.
He said that the condition set by the Court not to participate in protests is against the constitution and cannot be followed.
