A leading member of the Jumhooree Party, Sobah Rasheed has stated that the national endeavors of the Jumhooree Party cannot be stopped.
Sobah Rasheed made this remark in reply to the accusations of Ikram Mohamed of VTV on a DhiTV program.
Sobah said that the joint campaigns of Jumhooree Party with MDP was not initiated seeking authority and power but to defend the constitution.
He said that the work initiated by Jumhooree Party and MDP is receiving support from Adhaalath Party as well now. He said that this is clear by their stance when the party has started to openly advocate in defence of the constitution.
“The government is in utter loss with Adhaalath Party, Jumhooree Party and MDP working together. They are pleading the people to accept their governance,” he said.
Sobah said that Gasim Ibrahim, the leader of the Jumhooree Party is never an enemy of the government. He said that Gasim has always appealed and advocated to correct the affairs of the nation.
“He asked to withdraw Nasheed’s case. The world is asking the same because Nasheed’s case is definitely politically motivated. He spoke regarding the case against Nazim because he believes that Nazim was framed. This the belief of all regarding the case. He is only defending the constitution. He is only defending the honour and rights of the people,” he said.
Sobah said that the Jumhooree Party Leader has been garnering more and more support every day and it is a reality that cannot be denied.
