President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has said that the Maldives needs a government which will work to bring prosperity to the people.
President Yameen made this remark speaking at the Traders Hotel in the scholarship awards ceremony of Trans Maldivian Airways’ (TMA) youth pilot training program.
The President reiterated the Government commitment to defeat these conspirators, and to promote a generation of peaceful and affluent young generation in the Maldives.
He emphasized the special priority attached by his Government to the wellbeing of the youth.
The President noted that the youth played a prominent role in stabilizing the Maldivian economy, describing them as the source of energy that drove the Government.
The President noted that the Maldivian youth was deprived of the opportunities to be employed, and opportunities for shelter.
He said that the Government would always gratefully welcome any project that was going to cater these needs.
