At the Twentieth Sitting of the Second Session held yesterday, the plenary debate was carried out for the Bill on Amendment to the Anti-Corruption Act, submitted on behalf of the Government by Hon. Asma Rasheed, MP for Maafannu-Central constituency.
A total of 24 MPs spoke during yesterday’s allocated time.
The First Reading of the Bill on Amendment to the Anti-Corruption Act was held on 17 June 2014, at the Third Sitting of the Second Session.
During the morning shift of yesterday’s Sitting, the Attorney General, Mohamed Anil was questioned by Eva Abdullah, MP for Galholhu-North, regarding the status of investigation in lieu of the report prepared on 30 August 2012 by the Commission on National Inquiry Commission in association with the Commonwealth.
