President Abdulla Yameen on Wednesday appointed Abbas Adil Riza as the new Commissioner General of Customs.
Abbas, who was the former Presisdent’s Office Spokesperson, was appointed to the post after its previous occupant - Ahmed Zuhoor - had been appointed to the post of Health Minister on Tuesday.
In a ceremony held at the President’s Office yesterday morning, the Letter of Appointment was presented to the Commissioner General by His Excellency President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. Prior to the presentation of the Letter of Appointment, he took the oath of office as Commissioner General of Customs.
