Delegates on behalf of former Defence Minister Colonel (retired) Mohamed Nazim has departed to Sri Lanka to meet foreign diplomats and ambassadors to discuss and inform them of the details regarding the ongoing case against him.
The team that left to Sri Lanka on behalf of Colonel Nazim includes Jumhooree Party’s PG Group’s Deputy Leader, Kinbidhoo constituency MP Abdulla Riyaz and Galolhu Dhekunu constituency MP Ahmed Mahloof.
The family of Colonel Nazim stated recently that there is no hope for justice and fairness from the authorities regarding the case considering how the trial is conducted.
Abdulla Riyaz said that if a just trial is held then all of the accusations against Nazim will be lifted and proved wrong. He said that there is enough evidence to prove this.
Many have been raising questions regarding how the trial is held and against Nazim and how he was arrested. Many say that he was framed by the government.
Among those who have been criticizing the government regarding this case is the President of the Adhaalath Party, Imran Abdulla.
