Makunudhoo constituency MP, Anara Naeem has said that the weakness of faith is one of the reasons for the prevalence of crime in the society.
Anara said that the prevalence of crime in the society is an issue of grave concern. She said that the prevalence of crime reveals the scale of moral collapse in the society.
She said that there is much that can be done via the Peoples’ Majlis to curb crime. She said that it should be from the top priorities to stop the criminals before they perpetrate any criminal activities.
She said that many are not concerned with what led the criminals to commit those crimes but the people are only concerned when they commit the crime. She said that these factors should be identified and removed.
Many people note that students who are given religious education are more crime free than those who do not get religious education.
