Sheikh Ilyas said that perpetrating these crimes in the name of progress and modernization is irrational. He said that these crimes have nothing to do with modernization and progress.
He said that development and progress should be within the confines of Islamic laws.
Sheikh Ilyas said that everyone makes mistakes and all should hasten to repent and stop falling into sins. He said that the repentence should be sincere.
Establishment of justice and prevention of injustice is one of the essential objectives ofShari`ah. Islam, therefore, guarantees the means that lead to the actualization of justice and its consolidation. One of the means of establishing justice is avoiding false testimony. Giving false testimony has serious evils and consequences for it supports falsehood against truth and gives backing to injustice and aggression against justice. It also effaces fairness and equity and poses danger to public safety and security.
Islamic Shari`ah is all about justice and fairness. Injustice or oppression cannot be Islamically justified or tolerated irrespective of the victim’s faith, country, or race.
