Jumhooree Party has stated that the party will cooperate and provide assistance to the Help Gaza Telethon organized by the local media to help the oppressed brothers and sisters in Gaza.
Jumhooree Party announced this in a letter send to the Steering Committee Chairman of the Telethon, Ibrahim Umar Manik.
The deputy leader of the Jumhooree Party, Ameen Ibrahim requested all members of the party to participate in this event and to help the people of Gaza according to their ability.
Meanwhile, it is noted that the Jumhooree Party leader, Gasim Ibrahim is a philanthropist who have made generous donations to all such events held in Maldives.
This includes fund raised for the oppressed Bosnians, Tsunami victims of Japan and other such places.
The highly popular philanthropist has an unmatched record of social responsibility and assistance in his individual capacity and through his various business and non-profit organizations. Every year, Gasim’s privately owned Villa Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships to young Maldivians to pursue higher studies.
Thousands of Maldivians have received funding for medical treatment abroad through Gasim’s welfare scheme. Funding is received based on applications made to Villa. Most recipients of Gasim’s philanthropy have never met Gasim.
