Criminal Court orders to keep Nazim in custody until end of trial
The criminal court has issued order on Maldives Police Service to keep former Defence Minister Colonel Mohamed Nazim in custody until the end of the trial.

Leading attorney of Nazim’s legal team, Maumoon Hameed said that no questions have been asked by the Police regarding the case up until now. He said that he is not aware whether any other person related to the case have been questiond.

Maumoon Hameed said that the judge decided to detain Nazim until the end of his trial for national peace and security.

He said that Nazim again accused that there were no evidence provided except for the ones which were provided to the court during the remand hearing.

Maumoon said that the state have not provided the details of the evidences provided by the state against Nazim.

He said that the state should accept that there is no basis to charge Nazim as they accepted that there is no basis to charge his wife.
