Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed has said that the design of Ibrahim Nasir International Airport has been finished.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Minister Mohamed Saeed said that the practically works of the airport development project will be commenced soon.
Mohamed Saeed said that the works include the repairing of the runway and the development of a second run way and establishing a fuel farm in the airport.
According to the government, the airport will be developed to serve five million people during the first phase of the project.
