Thoddoo constituency MP Ibrahim Hassan (Evila) has said that it is now obligatory upon every Maldivian to bring the current government to an end.
Ibrahim Hassan said that the current government does not respect the religion of Islam nor do they respect the constitution of the Maldives.
“When they want they can march down the streets taking iron rods and covering their faces. Perhaps they were there to protect and guard their leaders who participated in that march. Following that they are saying not to come out to the streets. So when the injustices of a government reaches this level there is nothing that can be said. There is nothing else except to work to bring down such a government,” he said.
In addition to this, he called the government to release former Defence Minister Colonel (retired) Mohamed Nazim and former President Mohamed Nasheed immediately.
He called the government to stop oppressing the people and to respect and implement the constitution.
