Dr. Hussein Rasheed, the Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party has said that sacrifices should be made to make the government accountable.
He said that the current government’s current state is to change the leaders of independent institutions by bringing changes to the constitution if an institution calls the government to rectify an issue.
Dr. Hussein Rasheed said that the calls for rectification is considered jokes by the government.
He said that this shows that the government does not want rectification and does not want to be made accountable for their actions either by the people or through independent institutions.
Dr. Hussein said that it is no easy to make a government accountable if they give a deaf ear to the people. Therefore, he said that no matter how big, sacrifices should be made to make the government accountable for their actions.
The Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party said that the government should be made accountable at any cost and the perpetrators should be brought to justice.
