Nazim’s legal team includes members of both Adhaalath Party and Jumhooree Party.
Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim recently called the authorities to release Nazim immediately. He was the first political leader to publicly call the authorities to release Nazim.
Adhaalath Party’s President Sheikh Imran Abdulla also condemned the arrest of Nazim. He said that the party will always stand up against oppression. He said that supporting the government does not mean that the injustices and oppression of the government should be supported.
