First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim has launched a special programme to assist the elderly and people with special needs in the Maldivian society.
At a ceremony held Wednesday morning at Muleeaage, Madam Fathimath Ibrahim handed over a wheelchair and walking aid to the Disability Ambassador Mr. Ahmed Hishan, as a symbolic gesture to launch the programme.
Under the programme, Disability Ambassador Hishan will tour the atolls, and meet with the elder and people with special needs, to donate the items on behalf of the first lady.
