President of the Adhaalath Party, Sheikh Imran has said that progress and development cannot be achieved without instilling the quality of forgiveness and unity among the people.
Sheikh Imran said that the events of February 7 and 8 have been very sad days and all sides should forgive each other and unite to develop the nation.
Former President Mohamed Nasheed a few days ago stated that his government came to an end not because of a rebellion but when MDP broke the coalition with Jumhooree Party and invalidated the government.
The government revealed that the arson attacks of February 8, 2012 were the most damaging in the history of Maldives and the attacks caused more than 200 million Ruffiya of damages.
