Makunudhoo constituency MP, Anara Naeem has said that government intimidation upon the people and stifling of free speech is from the signs of regression and degeneration.
Anara Naeem made this remark following the increase of intimidation and threats against some opposition politicians and the common people.
In this regard, government has taken back some islands and lands leased for some opposition politicians.
Anara said that she is working between the opposition and the government without being biased to any side. She said that she believes that there is much important works that can done and accomplished without taking any sides.
In addition to this Anara said that a President resigning for the sake of the safety of the people is a good thing however it is wrong to make accusations against the people after resignation.
