Ameen Ibrahim, the Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party has expressed hopes that the Jumhooree Party and Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) relationship will not fail this time.
Ameen made this remark speaking at the joint rally of the Jumhooree Party and MDP held last night at Alimas Carnival.
Ameen said that he hopes that the relationship between the two parties will remain sincere and intact. And he said that he hopes that this relationship will not fail as it had failed earlier.
He noted that the Jumhooree Party joined together with MDP twice earlier however it failed both times. He said that all should remain sincere and honest if not then it will fail.
Ameen said that the Jumhooree Party helped bring President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom to power with many hopes.
“We hope that you will return back to the constitution. Our hopes is that you will stop intimidating the politicians, the people, the media and others,” he said.
He said that an island leased to a person can be taken but that there were a people similar who thought that everything should be done through intimidation and using fear mongering tactics. He said that these primitive tactics wont work in this modern age.
