Jumhooree Party leader, Gasim Ibrahim has said that he will remain advocating for the rights of the people even if the opponents shoot him dead.
Gasim Ibrahim made this remark speaking at the public rally held by both Jumhooree Party and MDP at Alimas Carnival area last night.
He said that even if his investments are taken or the islands leased to him are taken he will not step back and will remain firm.
Tree islands leased for Gasim Ibrahim was taken yesterday by the government.
He said that the oppressors will faced the consequences of their actions. He said that he is not the least intimidated.
“Even if you burn down VTV. Allah granted them. So it is to Him they will return,” he said.
Gasim said that it is fool hardy for a person who ruled Maldives for thirty years now claim that he does not anything against the government that they are doing in opposition to constitution.
He said that the election alone is enough to see that the government has no support of the people. He said that the government is growing more dictatorial to defend themselves as they have no support from the people.
